Mini Video of Miss Bossy

So mama loses everything. Recently I lost a really expensive HD camera we got for taking video of Sophia. I love videos, especially home videos. So after looking for it for a entire month I decided to bite the bullet and get one off Ebay. I found a super nice one, Samsung, for about 1/4 cost of the one I lost. So I went ahead and got it. It's not HD but it super nice and even easier to upload video than my last one. I was able to upload in less than 30 mins. This includes uploading to youtube.com. Sure the videos where short but the last camera took me all day to upload to youtube. I love the software, I love the battery life, I love that it's rechargeable, I love how much video I can store on it. It's fits our needs perfectly. I have promised myself that it has to go back into the camera bag at the end of the day. I will be really mad at myself if I lose it. It's a great little camera.

Summer Ending Soon

The end of August is nearing and I am so excited for Fall. Also Sophia's birthday will be in less than two months. I can't believe that it's almost been a year since she was born. She is so fun to play with and watch. I can't believe how wonderful it is to be a mommy. Tata is enjoying it as well but it's just so fascinating to have a munchkin in the family. It adds a whole other dynamic that can't even be comprehended.

Often times I don't get to thank my husband for being a wonderful person and father. He is so amazing with Sophia. So caring and loving to her every need. Having a newborn baby was a little difficult at first but I know I could have not handled it without having a incredible husband to take part with such a fulfilling challenge. Having Sophia has only made us closer and built on to the an already strong foundation. After 4 years of marriage we couldn't be happier.

This summer was really hot. I think we have a record breaking month of over 100 degrees. We went to Target last Sunday and stopped first to get my brows waxed. Sophia and daddy waited in the car. Took only 5 mins. (The Air was on) Anyways...we we got to Target Sophia looked like a tomato. We thought she had Sunburn or something. But she was just hot. Luckily I started to bring a ice cold sippy cup and she cooled down in Target. But it freaked us out. Freaking heat!

Fun Times at the Juric House

Sophia is getting into everything. She loves to play and loves to crawl. Often this can be entertaining. It's like playing Marco Polo with her. We have zones in the house. Once she leaves my eyeline she enters Tata's I say..she is all yours, Sandro. She also can be a big escape artist. She will begin her speed crawl and be across the room in 2 seconds flat. I think we will have some major trouble when she begins to walk. Anything and everything she comes in contact with she thinks is her. She will destroy it. She is a really strong baby. Often bullying her daycare friends into giving her their toys.

Sophia, the boss..

What a great week! Sophia is doing wonderful. Her two front teeth are coming in. They have a bit of gap...sorta like her Baka and Uncle. So stinking cute you can't help but want to kiss her all the time. She is extremely talkative (babble) lately. I wish I could find my video camera. For some reason it's gone missing. It's driving me nuts.

One of her favorite games to play with me is hide and go seek. I will put a blanket over my head and say..."Where is Sophia? Where did she go?" a few seconds later she is pulling the blanket off my head very slowly. Just so she builds anticipation. Then when it's off I say "There she is" and she screams and giggles.

The daycare is telling me that she has been stealing food from other babies in the room. Also, she is the boss. A baby could be playing with a toy and she just takes it from them. They don't complain or anything. They just let her because she is the boss! :) The only time they get upset is when she takes their paci...She has never been a paci fan and just wants to play with it or toss it across the room. She is hilarious.

Here and There...Everywhere

My bonus post of the week. Sophia is everywhere you can imagine. She crawls and wants to stand against anything that can support her. She is hard to chase sometimes. Here are just a few of her favorites places.

This is the face she gives after she reaches her destination. Notice the teethies.
On my way to my next destination.
She likes the door stoppers.
Mama's gym bag.
In the fridge.
Trying to get out the doggie door. Teaching them how it works.
To get to the water bowl. Her mini swimming pool.
Back at the doggie door again. This time she wants to get out to be with her brothers.
At the bathtub.
Pulling her self up on the coffee table.

9th Month Check-Up

Yes, Baby Sophia is not really a baby anymore. More like a toddler. She is so strong. Most people when they hold her comment on how solid she is. She is a little muscle woman. Given she has some ear infection Sophia is remarkably a very healthy child. She eats well and she is very intrigued by anything she sees. She has such a unique personality. She is slowly learning by copying mommy or daddy.

What makes her giggle:
When I do a pretend sneeze
Singing Itsy Bitzy Spider
When Apollo comes around
When she is tickled
When she is in her stroller following Apollo
Random dramatic words w/funny faces

Things that make her mad:
Getting any type of medicine
Not getting her bottle fast enough
Not giving her food fast enough
Not getting her normal bedtime routine

Her favorite Foods:
Broccoli (sometimes w/cheese)
Baka's Chicken Soup
Puffs
Potatoes (mashed, cut, anyway)
Homemade Bread
Oatmeal
Mac & Cheese
Onions

Her least favorite Foods:
Banana's
Spicy Food

She drinks normal cow milk from her sippy at dinner. She likes the sippy's with the straws. The other ones are a bit too frustrating for her. At the moment she consumes about 2 (9 ounces bottles) and 2 (6 ounce bottles) and she eats snacks, lunch, dinner. All solids. She is good about giving everything a try.

Stats: 24 pounds 10 Ounces 90%
Height: 30.5 inches 90%
FOC: At home..but she grew about 1/4 inch

She just loves my camera strap some days.
Her Nana gave her this doll. Unfortunately the dogs liked it too. :(
Trying to get her mirror off the floor so she can slam it into the coffee table. :) Silly Girl.
Her ever so cute face.

July 4th Weekend

July 4th weekend was a blast. My mom had come to visit so we had a lot of girlie time. Which included pedicures. My favorite part of course. My mom ate what I did most of the weekend which really helped me stay on track. Overall it was a great weekend.

Sophia was a huge photo ham as always. The only down fall really was that it seems that Sophia is getting a lot more ear infections. By the end of the weekend she has a ear infection in both ears along with pink eye in both eyes. Luckily Sandro’s parents where off that week and basically took care of her for the majority of the week. The main issue here is that Sophia never has fever when she has a ear infection. So we can’t tell until we take her to the doctor. We finish the round of antibiotics and the pink eye disappears in two days. It’s the strangest thing.

She loves to stick her tongue out all the time. :)
